Since Friday, 30 July 2021, Royal Burgers' Zoo has the capacity to charge 24 electric cars simultaneously at 12 new charging stations. The charging stations are located at the top of the fourth parking loop in the parking lot. Traffic signs direct drivers to the location.
The charging stations are powered from a transformer at the Safari Meeting Centre through three 250-metre underground cables. Each charging station is connected to a distribution box in the parking lot. The number of charging points can be further expanded in the future if required. Burgers' Zoo intends to offer power at a very reasonable rate.
